Haitham has rich experience in Oil & Gas, Mining, Shipping and Infrastructure. In 2009, Haitham completed his bachelor's degree in Commercial Law and Finance from Curtin University, Australia. After graduating, Haitham joined OQ company (Oman Oil Company, formerly) one of the major investment arms of Oman. During his tenure with OQ, Haitham worked in the Asset Management and Business Development departments in which his duties included evaluating investment opportunities, managing assets and entering investment negotiations.
Haitham was also representing OQ as an Investment Committee Member in a number of OQ’s subsidiaries, such as Vale Oman Pelletizing Plant, Sohar Aluminum Company and Oman Shipping Company, to mention few. As OQ representative, it was one of Haitham’s duties to ensure that the shareholder value is saved and covered in the investment contracts.
In 2015, Haitham Al Alawi went on a secondment to Oxea Company in Dallas, Texas, one of OQ subsidiaries, to work as a market development manager. In 2017 Haitham returned to Oman and started his own businesses, In real estate, F&B industry and Mining.

Anwar holds bachelor's degree in accounting from Cairo University - Khartoum Branch - in 1983, a bachelor of law from the University of Khartoum in 1987 as well as academic qualifications in Arbitration and Translation.
